SCOTLAND - A woman has been evicted from her flat after her horrified neighbour heard her having 'loud sex ' with a pubgoer outside her front door.

Claire Blacklaw, 31, was caught drunkenly romping with John Kirkland, 26, by her stunned landlord after he received a complaint from the neighbour.

The landlord arrived at the block of flats in Lanarkshire, Scotland, to find the couple naked and having sexual intercourse on a public landing.

Blacklaw and Kirkland were both arrested and fined for committing public indecency at the property in Hamilton earlier this year.

The tenant has also been evicted from her flat due to the incident.

Blacklaw met up with Kirkland in a pub on the night of January 28, before the pair made their way back to her home less than an hour later.

When they got to the entrance of the black of flats, Blacklaw told her companion she wanted to have sex in the common close area, a court heard.

Kirkland asked her to go into the flat, but eventually gave into her pleas.

Moments later, the pair had undressed and were engaging in sexual intercourse.

A shocked neighbour heard the couple's groans from inside her flat and called the landlord, who arrived to find them having sex on the landing.

Police officers were called to the scene and the pair were arrested.

Blacklaw and Kirkland appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court, where they admitted an offence of public indecency by removing their clothes and having sexual intercourse within the common close.

Blacklaw was fined £140, while Kirkland, a chef, also of Hamilton, was ordered to pay £200.

Fiscal depute Gillian Bradshaw told the court: "At 9.30pm, the witness was in her flat at the locus and overheard her neighbour, Miss Blacklaw, talking with a male in the common close.
