Celebrity Big Brother ratings plummet to embarrassingly low levels as series loses its sex appeal
Over the weekend, ratings plummeted to embarrassingly low levels following Lewis Bloor and James Whale's evictions on Friday.Just 865,000 fans tuned in for Saturday night's episode compared to this series' average of 1.4 million, according to Channel 5 stats.
Some seem to think that the sharp drop is all the house's X-rated antics suddenly drying out.
Earlier on in the series, Stephen Bear and love interest Chloe Khan also sent Twitter into meltdown with their sexual exploits in the house.
But now that both Chloe and Lewis are no more, the entertainment has disappeared - along with the show's ratings it would seem.
"It's a terrible start to the week," a source told the Daily Star. "The house is lacking in drama and things aren’t looking good for viewing figures. Lewis and Marnie were providing all the sex appeal and now the spark is firmly out."
