EastEnders viewers have reacted strongly to Thursday night's episode as Ben Mitchell confessed to boyfriend Paul Coker's death being from a brutal homophobic attack.
Following the dramatic scenes on Monday's instalment of the BBC One soap - which saw Ben's brother Ian Beale and his dad Phil identify Paul's body - emotions were running even higher in Albert Square.
In tonight's show, Ben, played by Harry Reid, was questioned by the police on what really happened to his boyfriend but he finally told Jonny Carter everything.
Ben told the law student that Paul's attack wasn't a "mugging" but a 'homophobic attack' - much like what Mirror Online previously predicted .
